Advertising and Sponsorship Policy

1. Guiding Principles
Biomed Thought (BT) accepts advertising and sponsorship as part of its business model to support open access and reduce costs for authors. However, we adhere to strict guidelines to ensure that commercial interests do not influence editorial decisions. Editorial content is always independent of advertising considerations.

2. Acceptance Criteria
We accept advertising for products and services that are relevant to our readership and consistent with the Journal's mission in biomedical research and clinical practice.

3. Prohibited Advertisements
We do NOT accept advertising or sponsorship from the following:

  • The tobacco industry (including vaping products and e-cigarettes).

  • Gambling or betting companies.

  • The arms industry.

  • Manufacturers of breast milk substitutes.

  • Companies promoting products proven to be seriously harmful to health.

  • Political organizations or parties.

4. Standards and Compliance
All advertisements must:

  • Be legal, decent, honest, and truthful.

  • Comply with relevant national and international advertising standards and regulations.

  • Have all therapeutic or diagnostic claims substantiated by evidence published in peer-reviewed journals.

5. Placement and Identification

  • Distinct Separation: Advertisements must be clearly distinguishable from editorial content. They will be separate or clearly labeled as "Advertisement" or "Sponsorship Feature".

  • Juxtaposition: We prohibit the placement of advertisements juxtaposed with editorial content on the same product or topic to prevent any appearance of editorial influence.

  • Display: Online advertising must not impede user access to editorial content.

6. Editorial Control
The Editor-in-Chief and MIND QUEST RESEARCH & EDUCATIONAL CENTER (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED retain full and final authority over approving all advertisements and enforcing this policy. We reserve the right to reject or withdraw any advertisement at any time without notice.

7. Raising Concerns
If a reader believes an advertisement breaches this policy or general advertising standards, they should contact the advertiser directly. Concerns can also be reported to the Editorial Office of Biomed Thought (BT) at editor@biomedthought.com with an image or link to the advertisement.
