Biomed Thought uses plagiarism detection tools to verify that submitted content is free of plagiarism. Manuscripts that have been previously published or are under simultaneous consideration elsewhere will not be accepted.

Publication Fees:

  • Open Access Fees: As an open-access journal, Biomed Thought requires authors to pay a publication fee to cover the costs of making their article freely available to all readers. This fee helps support the peer review process, editorial services, and online publication.

  • Waivers and Discounts: Authors from low-income countries or those experiencing financial hardship may apply for a fee waiver or discount. Please contact the editorial office for more information on eligibility and to request a waiver.

Peer Review Process:

  • Double-Blind Review: All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process, where the identities of both the authors and reviewers are kept confidential. Reviewers provide constructive feedback to authors to improve the manuscript’s quality.

  • Decision Process: After peer review, the editor will make one of the following decisions:

    • Accept: The manuscript is accepted without any further revisions.
    • Minor Revisions Required: The manuscript is suitable for publication after minor changes.
    • Major Revisions Required: The manuscript requires substantial changes before it can be reconsidered for publication.
    • Reject: The manuscript is not suitable for publication based on scientific merit, relevance, or quality.

After Acceptance:

  • Fast-Track Publication: Once your manuscript is accepted, it will undergo final proofreading, formatting, and production. We aim to publish accepted articles as quickly as possible, often within 4 to 6 weeks of acceptance.

  • Data Availability and Supplementary Materials: Authors are encouraged to provide access to raw data, supplementary materials, and datasets related to their research. This enhances transparency and allows others to replicate the findings. A Data Availability Statement should be included in the manuscript.

  • Post-Publication Promotion: After your article is published, we will help promote it through various channels, including social media, newsletters, and academic networks, to ensure maximum visibility and impact.

Ethical Oversight:

  • Retractions and Corrections: If errors or ethical issues are identified after publication, authors can request a retraction or correction. The editorial team will follow COPE guidelines for handling such requests and will issue retraction or correction notices when necessary.
